A derivative of THIEL's groundbreaking PowerPoint 1.2 on-wall/on-ceiling speaker, the DewPoint can be placed in a wide variety of inclement environments that do not expose the speaker to direct contact with water.
The DewPoint can be placed in a wide variety of inclement environments that do not expose the speaker to direct contact with water.
The wide dispersion of sound from the unique design of the THIEL DewPoints makes them ideal for outdoor entertainment areas.
DewPoints can be mounted horizontally overhead or vertically on the wall.
Many steps have been taken to provide the DewPoints with a high degree of resistance to environmental extremes. The enclosure is made of sturdy aluminum and is paintable to match any décor. The DewPoint's anodized aluminum grille is impervious to rust and attached to the cabinet with a soft-set adhesive. All of the mounting hardware included with DewPoints is made of top quality stainless steel. The DewPoint is a high performance surface-mount loudspeaker designed to achieve superb sound in almost any environment. Mounting DewPoints beneath an eave or under a covered porch are good examples of recommended placement.
The DewPoint is a high performance surface-mount loudspeaker designed to achieve both optimized sound and a discreet appearance in almost any environment. The DewPoint's state-of-the-art coaxial/coplanar drivers, wedge shaped enclosure, and 90 degree radiation pattern enables the sound to cover any area far more completely than traditional, more directional surface-mount or in-wall speakers. The DewPoint's carefully engineered aluminum enclosure prevents harmful vibrations and reflective waves from interfering with your music.
Secret Sauce
The DewPoint uses THIEL's specially designed very high output and accurate Power Driver coaxially mounted woofer/tweeter system. Based upon the premise that a loudspeaker's frequency response becomes uneven and unnatural due to reflections from a nearby wall or ceiling, THIEL's revolutionary DewPoint solves this coloration problem by situating the Power Driver so close to the mounting surface that the affected frequencies are too high to cause harmful, audible reflections.
Wide Dispersion
A critical part of the DewPoint's design is that the "coax" resides at a 45° angle to the mounting surface, allowing the ultra-wide dispersion Power Driver to cover all listening positions directly beneath and in front of the speaker. This characteristic is what makes the DewPoint such a natural choice for solving common placement problems. The THIEL DewPoint is a truly versatile solution for those who want superb audio in areas that may experience temperature and/or humidity extremes.
