Had to send them back - twice! July 19, 2010 Susan Hopkins They both worked beautifully for about the first half hour, then one of them had so much static it had to be turned off. I exchanged the speakers with the same result, but this time they didn't come in the manufacturer's packaging, which I thought was interesting. Maybe they sent me the same speakers. I was really hoping they would be the speakers that they were meant to be. The blend in well. I liked the idea that you could have one speaker on at a time (sometimes a speaker can drown out a conversation), or both. They claim to have a distance of 300 feet from the transmitter; I'll never know. We have a pool 24x32 and are probably another 40 feet from our house. We were using the transmitter with our computer as our source of sound and we had the glass doors closed. I thought that might be the problem so I took the transmitter poolside and used an iPod with the same result. Don't waste your money or your time.
these speakers and Amazon Service are garbage July 12, 2010 Mike I bought these speakers and used them at my camp about 3x. the plug for the receiver now does not work, and where the batteries connect to the speaker, the connection is very weak at best. I called Amazon to rectify the situation, and the said that there is absolutely nothing they can do about it because I am 10 days out of my return window.
These speakers were a mistake to purchase and buying from Amazon was also a mistake.
outdoor wireless rock speakers- WRS010-CN September 16, 2009 DRMEHRDAD Vatani 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
They look good for outside application, rated good and reasonably priced, but they have lots of statics and the remote volume contol does not work well. it is very difficult to sync the two speakers and constantly go out of balance.
There is certainly no 2400 Mhz as was advertized!! the sound quality is bad. Overall, the "wireless" concept sounds attractive, but not practical.
Speaker Rocks June 15, 2009 Gary H. Cramer (Lima OH USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Speaker rocks are handy, sound is not bad. They do seem to go thuough the batteries pretty fast, work much better when using electric. They look great in flower beds.
Great Concept, poor product January 1, 2009 M. Shiver (Sunnyville, FL) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was a little concerned when the first set quit working after a week. Amazon immediatly shipped a new pair out and they work great. Then the second set quit working after 3 months. So as of now I am out $165.00 for a concept that sounds great. Bottom line..........spend the extra $$$$$ if you want it to work.
If it looks too good, then it is.
