 Good Sound but Very Poor Build Quality June 11, 2010

I bought this pair of GS5 speak and I must say the 360 degree sound is good; not the best but good surround. However, the quality is serious bad. One of the speaker had the bottom magnet dropped of. I cannot imagine how all the 3 steel rivets that secure the magnet managed to break or was it already broken and poorly glued back? Fortunately, the heavy magnet did not cause damage to the inner speaker and I was able to well glue it back after much micro positioning to restore acoustic balance. Anyway I have no wish to return as oversea shipping.

Bought a pair of these, liked them so much bought another set, they do come prewired which is nice although I needed more wire. Depending on the size of your yard I suggest two pairs only cause I'd rather not have to blare the music to hear it as we walk around the pool, multiple speaker sites ensure good sound throughout the yard without annoying the neighbors. Pair these with an Apple Airport Express, a AudioSource Amp100, and an iPhone(and who doesn't already have an iPhone come on people) and you can stream music poolside while controlling it with your phone, very nice, now I just need to waterproof my iPhone
Some audiophiles will complain they are not very sensitive, ie takes a larger amp to power, my experience is that's the same with all outdoor speakers, probably has to do with the weatherproof surrounds on the drivers, but the Amp100 was plenty for my needs

I have a pair of this mini-omni, and it's all you need to get music in our backyard. since the sound comes from 360 degrees, you dont need tom nay speakers to cover the area. The best part,the sound it's great!
Great Speakers for the Patio January 16, 2010

Bought these and buried them on either side of our patio. I used 12 gauge low voltage cable for wiring, run from the house about 80 feet away. The speakers work great and provide really good sound whether standing at the grill, or sitting in low lounge chairs. No complaints at all.

Great sound for the price. Comes pre-wired with about 25' of 18/2 direct burial speaker cable if you missed that.
